The 5th Sunday after Pentecost.
Jesus preaches that the “kingdom of heaven is near.” This means, in part, that the sick are healed and that his disciples are given the same authority, that his disciples have peace with God and that their relationship with suffering is transformed. Based on Matthew 9:35-10:8 and Romans 5:1-8.
